Little Texan Boy

Naturally, being in Texas for the first time required Lautje to not only see the sights, but also to get in touch with his Texas heritage. Thus, as previously shown, he was given the chance to smell real BBQ, wear a cowboy hat, and even stick his hands in his Mommy's margarita. But, of course, that's not everything about Texas. To really get in touch with his Texas roots, Lautje also needed to wear burnt orange while watching the University of Texas football team beat up on the hapless Oklahoma Sooners, and also ride a horse. Luckily for Lautje, as seen below, he was able to take care of both of those requirements in one day.
But the stuffed horse was only the beginning, because one of Lautje's uncles (a poor soul who was early afflicted with the love of agriculture and all things maroon) has a few horses on his property. Uncle Mac was kind enough to allow Lautje to take his first real horseride, with the patient supervision of Lautje's cousin Sky-Hi. Thus, Lautje's initiation as a "real" Texan was considered complete, which is to say that he doesn't have his own pair of boots yet, but that's surely only a matter of time...
