The Cutie Girl
Generally speaking, Anneke tends to take a backseat to Lautje these days (though I suspect Lautje would argue the exact opposite), if only because Lautje is able to literally demand attention (which he does, all day long...). Nowhere is this more true than this blog, where Anneke photos are few and far between. Mainly, this is because Lautje actually does things, whereas Anneke just kind of makes noises. They are exceptionally cute noises, but they don't really make for interesting photographs. However, in the interest of equal time, a few recent Anneke photos seem more than appropriate. Up first, a general "cutie girl" photo.
And lest everyone believe that she doesn't make all of the typical baby faces, here is one of her favorites...
And naturally, the Anneke photo display wouldn't be complete without another "cutie girl" photo...However, these photos tend to be the exception, and not the rule. Unlike Lautje (who is infatuated with the camera), Anneke generally tends to be uncooperative, or at best, stare with great skepticism at the camera. Sometimes, when her motor skills and coordination are up to the challenge, she actually physically hides from it. Thus, a great many Anneke photos look more like this...
How this will all work out with one child continuously wanting his photo taken, and the other shying away whenever the camera appears, is anyone's guess. But in any event, it's better than the situation with the vacuum, which scares the daylights out of both of them (or at least, that is the reason the Daddy gives for not cleaning the apartment...).
