Steady Flow of Visitors

Over the past few weeks (months, really...), Lautje and Anneke have enjoyed hanging out with more than a few of their good friends and relatives. First of all, auntie Nicole came to visit all the way from the far north - which Lautje thought was nice but clearly less interesting than the fact that she had brought her beautiful little daughter Lotte...  

Aunt Hanna's visit to her godchild also was quite the success, especially since it rekindled the kiddos' fascination with guitars - the after effects of which can be enjoyed to this day...  

Auntie Stephie's visits tend to be somewhat less idyllic and distinctly less restful, as inevitably, both Lautje and Anneke drag up every last vehicle they can find and bully/coax/emotionally blackmail the Auntie here into giving them a ride...  

Lautje's usually more subdued personality becomes noticeably wilder whenever his little friend Fee is around. Needless to say, neither the Mommy nor the Daddy expect the couch to last more than two more years with this kind of treatment (even if the Daddy is still in denial about that...)

Visits by the Opa are always a great success, and if he is then willing to read (and re-read... and re-read...) a book about the Easter Bunny even while the Mommy is at the store buying the Thanksgiving turkey, so much the better...

The Oma, however, still remains Lautje's main partner in crime (though in a few years, this may very well shift in favor of cute little girls like Lotte...) and invariably, a great time is had by all parties involved...
