Musical Children

As has been often noted, Lautje loves music. He can't get enough of it. And just like the Mommy, when he hears a song that he likes, he wants to hear it again (and again, and again...). Since Christmas, Lautje's musical interest has started to show itself in other, different ways: he doesn't just listen anymore, he creates, which, of course, is an endless process... (Both the Mommy and Daddy would like to take the opportunity to thank Lautje's Aunt Sarie for her wonderful Christmas gift... and advise her to look up the words "revenge" and "payback" in her nearest dictionary).

When Lautje tires of creating his own music, he falls back on his favorite alternative: playing normal music over (and over and over...). Since Christmas (courtesy of the Granny, who, unfortunately, is immune to the possibility of revenge), Lautje has a holiday-themed musical snow globe to satisfy his musical demands. Even better, he has parents whom he can boss around and make dance. (As an aside, notice that Lautje begins running back to the globe before it finishes the song - because he's heard all 20+ songs so often that he recognizes well ahead of time when they will end).

Not to be outdone, Anneke too is beginning to show her musical side. Even the mere presence of Tigger is enough to get her excited these days. And while she can't dance or even crawl, she can still move to the music...

In conclusion, let's just say that the Mommy and Daddy don't exactly get much quiet time these days.
