Lautje and the Big Wheels

Shortly after arriving in Texas, the Nanny bought Lautje a used Big Wheels at a garage sale. Needless to say, it was a big hit: whether he was riding it indoors or outside on the patio, Lautje spent a significant portion of his vacation with his butt firmly attached to the seat of his Big Wheels and with a big smile on his face.
And naturally, riding his "fiets" or "bike" required the proper attire...

And when his cousin Brandon brought out the big Big Wheels, well, Lautje had to ride along...

But the icing on the cake was when Lautje saw his cousins actually riding a child's bicycle. He was fascinated and ready to give it a try - or, at least he was ready for the Mommy to help him push it around...

Whether the Mommy and Daddy like it or not, it's only a matter of time before Lautje will be out and about on a big boy's bike, exploring the world, and coming home with the normal cuts and bruises from bicycle tricks that went wrong. Oh the joy...
