Anneke's birthday
A few weeks ago, little Juju turned three (and yes, the Mommy and Daddy are feeling unseasonably old these days...). As the family's crazy party monster, the birthday girl tremendously enjoyed the celebrations, heaps of attention and mountains of gifts; but four things stood out in particular for her. First of all, there was Sara, her instantly beloved and rarely-parted-with doll:
Then there was the self-decorated crown which she insisted every self-respecting birthday girl must have, and which she refused to take off even when brushing her teeth or reading a book with the Mommy:
The new buggy was also an instant favorite (though the Mommy and Daddy's favorite feature, the super-silent wheels, probably did not play nearly as big a role in that fascination as the pink roof and purple stripes...):
And finally, there was cake. And candle-blowing. Repeatedly. At least four times. Which at least made for a good photo op...
Suffice it to say that when she finally was exhausted enough to take a nap, she was sorely disappointed that only one of those four things were permitted to join her in her bed...
