Yeehaw!

The family has safely returned from an amazing vacation in Texas, full of sunshine, steaks and Sesame Street. On the trip, Lautje and Anneke exceeded the Mommy and Daddy's expectations by far, and took everything from security checks to immigration lines and flight turbulence in stride:And what's not to love? A buffet of food which no-one insists she actually eat, the Muppet show on constant rerun, and legs that are short enough to fit comfortably in an airplane seat - Anneke paradise!
Once in Texas, the Mommy and Daddy did not waste much time before going to worship at their Temple of Beef Ribs and Brisket (oh yes, it really is THAT good...). And once he has overcome his pseudo-vegetarian I-will-eat-meat-only-in-form-of-sausages phase, Lautje will bitterly regret that he refused to even sample the ribs...
For the Terrible Twosome, one of the best things about Texas was the sleeping situation. Even though the Nanny went to a great deal of trouble to provide each of her visiting grandchildren with their own bed, blanket and pillow, Lautje and Anneke had different plans, and sleep would invariably find them curled up as closely together as possible:
The beautiful weather provided plenty of opportunity to enjoy the Nanny's new kiddy pool. As close as they are, the Terrible Twosome's characters couldn't be more different - while Lautje insisted on wearing as much clothing as possible and barely wet his feet, Anneke quickly shed what little clothing she was wearing and plunged belly-first into the freezing cold water...
