A couple more photos from our recent day trip. In the top photo you can see the Daddy sitting on a bench at the local castle, with the little boy in his carry-backpack-thing. The bottom photo is the boy hanging out on a blanket, getting his feet grubby in the dirt.

As I was getting ready for work one morning, I happened to glance over and see both Mother and Son sleeping so peacefully. Does anyone know if favorite sleeping positions can be inherited? As for the bottom photo, this one is for the Granny. I was obviously gone when this was taken, otherwise he'd be wearing a different colored shirt...

As endlessly fascinating as we find the boy when he is awake, he's equally entertaining when he sleeps. In the top photo, he's assumed his favorite "Hands up, it's a robbery!" position. And in the bottom photo, he managed to bump the pillow and bring it down on his face, all without waking up. Don't worry, the angle makes it look worse than it was; he had plenty of room to breathe. Plus, we were both in bed reading at the time. But it's always an adventure when he's sleeping.
