Random Trip Photos

Sorry for the delay; now that we are back, the jetlag for everyone (especially Lautje) has been somewhat difficult to deal with. However, as you can see in the top photo, Lautje acclimated himself quite well to Texas once he got used to it: hanging out in the park in short-sleeves, enjoying the view of the Austin skyline. Notice the sunshine and complete lack of clouds - quite a change from the weather here in Deutschland...
We tried to get out and visit a few of our favorite spots while in town. In the second photo, the family takes a trip to the Alligator Bar and Grill specifically so the Mommy (who took this photo) could try alligator. Sitting outdoors, eating alligator, and drinking a margarita - I think the Mommy was quite satisfied that day.
Lautje, on the other hand, continued his fascination with his Grandpa's hat. So, as you can see below, we let him try it on. He generally regarded it as something fun to look at, but not necessarily to wear. We'll see how he reacts in 10 years...

A couple more photos before the flight home. Up top is the Mommy and Lautje enjoying the Grandpa's rocking chair. Middle is the Granny and Lautje on the couch. Down below is a photo of Lautje on the floor, chewing contentedly on a leather drink coaster.

Trip to Ironworks

As always when in Austin, the family made a pilgrimage to Ironworks BBQ. Up top you can see Lautje next to a plate of beef ribs roughly the size of his upper body. In the middle is a family portrait in front of the Ironworks. Down below is a photo of the Mommy, Lautje and his cousins from a different day.
