Boat Trips and Grandparents

Given the distance they travel, the Nanny and Papa naturally tend to become the center of attention when they arrive. Not having seen them in 2 or so years, the Oma and Opa came by to visit, and the entire group decided to take a boat ride to a local monastery (that also happens brews its own beer, not that the Daddy chose it for this particular reason...).

While the monastery itself was quite beautiful, and the food was better than expected, the beer left something to be desired (how exactly does a brewery run out of one of its own, normal, beers?). The lack of a good Dunkles didn't stop Anneke from enjoying the journey though (nothing like an apple fresh off the tree and a couple of steps to jump off of...):

The Papa, on the other hand, looked a little depressed about the lack of dark beer at the brewery:

Depressed enough that it seems like Laurens had to convince him not to jump off the pier...

Or maybe it was just that Laurens enjoyed locking people at the end of the pier...

All in all, though, everyone seemed to have a great time!
