A Day Out in the Sun

With the weather occasionally deciding to be nice, the Mommy and Daddy took Lautje out to a local park to sit around and enjoy playing in the grass. Of course, for Lautje, that meant taking his shoes on and off repeatedly (with the Daddy's "help", naturally).
Sitting in the sun also means reading the Mommy's magazine. And woe be unto anyone who tries to interrupt his "reading". Does this look like the face of a child who is happy to be interrupted?
But, more than anything, being out in the sun entails playing with his miniature soccer ball. Kicking, carrying, throwing - Lautje is an equal-opportunity type of boy. Just so long as the Mommy and Daddy pay attention, he's content to play with his soccer ball the entire day.
However, if anyone should attempt to get in the way of his reading or ball-playing, well, Lautje has a nasty streak too...

Riding in Style

Since Lautje can't ride a bike yet, and the kinderwagen isn't always practical (or fast enough), the Mommy and Daddy recently branched out into new child-transport technologies, as can be seen below. Yes, that is Lautje patiently sitting in the back...
To those readers who live on this side of the Atlantic Ocean, Lautje's new (used...) Chariot will no doubt seem of little significance, given that they are so very common in this neck of the woods. However, to those readers on the other side of the Atlantic, the entire concept must seem incredibly unsafe and a little crazy: pulling one of these through the streets of Austin would probably be considered child endangerment by the police... But, as you can see, Lautje doesn't really mind his Chariot. All he needs now is a whip to urge the Mommy and Daddy to go faster...
