Mein Papa!

As has been previously mentioned, Anneke has been known to be a little possessive at times. Normally, this occurs when she has a particular toy, or her favorite food. It is always "my toy!" or "my pancake!" But sometimes, her possessive nature extends even so far as grandparents!

For those speak neither Dutch (the Mommy's portion of the conversation) or Anneke (Anneke's unique language), here is a partial transcript of the conversation:

Mommy: "And your Papa?"
Anneke: "Yeah. Lautje, you Nanny."
Mommy: "And you?"
Anneke: "Papa"
Mommy: "You get Papa?"
Anneke: "Yeeaaaaaah! My Papa!"

Lautje, naturally, isn't very happy with the idea of dividing up the Nanny and the Papa, as can be heard faintly in the background. But, naturally, Anneke isn't the sort to be convinced of anything. However, with great patience and determination, she can occasionally be taught things. But only those things that are of the utmost importance; one might say the essential things in life... Such as the following:

Yes, Anneke not only knows who Bevo is, but she can also say (in somewhat garbled and hurried Anneke language) "Hook 'em Horns". She makes that Daddy so proud!
