Two - Family Photos

Thought I'd sneak in a couple of proud Daddy photos. Up top, you can see the entire family together. It would have been nicer if Lautje had been awake, but then again, we were quite happy that particular day that he was asleep... And, of course, the second photos is the Daddy and his boy.

One - Cute Boy Photos

Thought I'd initiate the first of two posts with a couple of "cute boy" photos, where Lautje is being Lautje. Up top you can see his inadvertent "hang loose" surfer hand signal. And on the bottom photo, well, that's just your typical Lautje face: happy because the camera is around.

The Changing Table

As you can see in the top photo, the boy manages to keep himself fairly well occupied while on the changing table. He's a blur of motion as he whops his mobile. In the bottom photo you can see exactly what that object is: an elephant. At first I wasn't thrilled with any elephants being in the house, Republican sign that it is, but when Lautje started whopping the #%*& out if it on a consistent basis, I thought it can't be such a bad thing...

The perils of eating

Another double post. These two photos show the difficulties of eating. Aside from the fact that Lautje has more interest in the bowl than the food (as the top photo shows), he's just generally not the biggest fan of eating "real" food, as his facial expression makes quite clear (bottom photo).

Eye to Eye

Had to post these two photos together. Sometimes, when the boy is grumpy, getting down to his eye level catches his attention and calms him down a little. So every now and then we hang out together at his place.

Lautje and Friends

As you can see from the photos, the women love Lautje. Top, the Aunt Stephie drops by visit her godchild. Bottom, Lautje discovers that Aunt Hanna's fingers also work well as a pacifier.

Second of Two: Teething

We like to chew on things these days. Really, just about anything. In the top photo, it's his own clothing. In the bottom two photos, it's his playtoy tripod thing (I have no idea what these things are called in any language...). In fact, if you place an arm in Lautje's general area, he's more than happy to bite down on it, as the Daddy has found out on numerous occasions...

First of Two: Odds and Ends

Working through a few odds and ends photos. First, as you can see, the boy is reasonably happy in his Daddy's arms. And as the middle photo shows, he's even happy sometimes on the floor. And in the bottom photo, you can see how he decided to celebrate the 4th of July: decked out in the red, white and blue of his Daddy's homeland. Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to indulge in any fireworks, beer or BBQ, but you can't have everything in life...
